About the Brett Gornewicz Foundation

In February 2012, SGT Brett Gornewicz, of Alden, NY deployed to Afghanistan as a member of the 444th Engineer Company. On November 3rd, 2012 Brett and two fellow soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb. Remembering Sergeant Brett Gornewicz - YouTube In his honor, a group of current and former military members came together to form the Brett Gornewicz Foundation (BGF). The foundation was established to benefit members of the military community and their families through financial grants and other services. The Brett Gornewicz Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit.
